Myanmar Tour Program ( 28 Days / 27 Nights )
Day 01:
Arrival Yangon
Arrive at Yangon International Airport (the main gateway
to Myanmar). Welcome and transfer to hotel. Relax and
sightseeing includes; Great Shwe Da Gon Pagoda (One of
the wonder of the World and itself is a solid brick
stupa (Buddhist reliquary) that is completely covered
with gold. It rises 326 feet (99 m) on a hill. Chauk
Htat Gyi Pagoda, huge 72 metre Reclining Buddha Image.
Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 02:
Yangon – Bago – Kyaikhtiyo
Breakfast at hotel and morning leave for Kyaikhtiyo by
private a/c car, enjoy a scenic journey by road to
Kyaiktiyo, 190km to the east. One of Myanmar’s great
pilgrimage sites is the Golden Rock at Kyaiktiyo, a huge
boulder covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on
the edge of a cliff. Late morning, arrive at Kyaiktiyo
base camp and transfer to the transit junction with one
of the small open trucks in a one hour ride. After
lunch, start an easy walk up to the Golden Rock and
enjoy sunset from this unforgettable site. Overnight at
hotel in Kyaiktiyo.
Day 03:
Kyaikhtiyo - Mawlamyaing
Breakfast at hotel. Then drive down to based camp and
proceed to Mawlamyaing. On the way to Mawlamyaing, the
scenery is interesting. Arrive at Mawlamyaing in late
afternoon and overnight at hotel in Mawlamyaing.
Day 04:
Mawlamyaing
Breakfast at hotel. Morning take a boat trip to the
Island of Gaung Se Kyun, also know as shampoo island,
famous for its former hair washing ceremonies in the
middle of Thanlwin River, to see the floating rock and
ancient Buddha Images.Afternoon visit to eastern part of the city, Mahamuni
Pagoda, built in typical Mon Style, the largest temple
complex in Mawlamyaing: Kyaink Than Lan Pagoda, known as
the Kipling Pagoda, the city’s tallest and most visible
Pagoda. Seindon Mibaya Kyaung, a monastery where King
Mindon’s Queen sought refuge. U Zina Imagae, was named
after a former monk who dreamt of finding gems at this
spot. Enjoy the sunset from the view point of
Mawlamyaing. Overnight at hotel in Mawlamyaing.
Day 05:
Mawlamyaing
Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive to Thanbyuzayat, was
the western terminus of the infamous Burma-Siam Railway,
the “Death Railway” by the thousands of Allied prisoners
of war (POWs) and Asian coolies who were forced by the
Japanese Military to built it which was connected with
the famous River Kwai (Thailand). Enroute visit the
world largest reclining Buddha Image which under still
construction. Then proceed to Thanbyuzayat through
beautiful Rubber plantation, visit to second world war
memorial cemetery. Evening back to Mawlamyaing.
Overnight at hotel in Mawlamyaing.
Day 06:
Mawlamyaing – Yangon
Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive back to Yangon.
Enroute sightseeing the beautiful plantation of Rubber
and paddy field of the villages. Arrive at Yangon in the
late evening and proceed to hotel. Overnight at hotel in
Yangon.
Day 07:
Yangon – Heho – Inle lake ( By flight )
Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive to Nyaung Shwe Jetty.
Arrive at Nyaung Shwe Jetty and transfer hotel by
private boat. Then sightseeing by private boat includes;
a chance to see the leg-rowing fishermen. Continue to
see the floating gardens, built up from strips of water
hyacinth and mud and anchored to the bottom with bamboo
poles. In the afternoon continue to Phaung Daw Oo
Pagoda, the weaving village of Inpawkhon and the jumping
cat monastery. Overnight at hotel in Inle Lake.
Day08:
Inle lake
Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, visit In Dein
Village in the south of the lake by private boat. From
the middle of the lake, continue down a small canal
leading to the village of In Dein, a recently opened
area in Shan State. After a walk around the village,
passing a local school, take the covered stairway to the
beautiful Alaung Sitthou area where ancient stupas are
partly covered by vegetation. From here there is a
magnificent view over the lake. Then back to hotel and
overnight at hotel in Inle lake.
Day 09:
Inle lake – Kalaw
Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to Nyaung Shwe
Jetty leave for Kalaw by private boat and private a/c
car. Arrive at Kalaw, hill station and visit around
Kalaw, trekking in some village near Kalaw for about 2
hours. Then back to hotel. Overnight at hotel in Kalaw.
Day 10:
Kalaw – Heho – Kyaing Tong ( By flight )
Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to heho airport
leave for Kyaing Tong by flight, the capital of Eastern
Shan State and also one of its most powerful Shan
principalities during the colonial period. On arrival at
Kyaing Tong, the local guide will welcome you and
transfer to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing includes
Thittapin Taung, the 245 years old diferocapus Tree
planted by King Alaungpaya, the founder of Third Myanmar
Dynasty. Shan Lacquer ware workshop, the beautiful Naung
Tong Lake and Mahamyatmuni Pagoda, housing Mandalay
style Buddha image and nearby a monastery where the
monks learn “Khun” language which is very similar to
that used in northern Thailand. Then back to hotel and
overnight at hotel in Kyaing Tong.
Day11:
Kyaing Tong
Breakfast at hotel. Morning sightseeing to Pin Tauk
area. Lush mixed monsoon forest with a view to the plain
tree fields looking like a huge, green patchwork blanked
shimmering in the water of the flooded paddy fields. The
local guide will introduce you to the villagers of Akha
and Enn tribes. Some are baptized, some tribes still
animists. The enn tribes live on the higher slopes
surroundings Pin Tauk area. They have distinctively
different costumes and beliefs from the other tribes.
Their traditional silver jewellery is most elegant
against their simple black jackets. In the enn village
of Nam Lin Min, there is a symbolic tether post
representing their and ancestors’ beliefs in
spiritual-beings. Then back to Kyaing Tong. Overnight at
hotel in Kyaing Tong.
Day12:
Kyaing Tong
Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit to Water Buffalo
Market and central market. Then take the car about 50
minutes and trek about 1and half hours to arrive Ho Kyin
Village, typical Akha Village. From here continue for
another 30 minutes to Nan Phi Phank Akha village and to
Pang Ma Phai Akha tribe village to learn more about
their daily life. Then Mong Zine(Khun) village to see
traditional Lahu Knives made by Lahu Blacksmith. On the
way back to hotel visit Joe Phyu, “Wa village”.

Day13:
Kyaing Tong – Mandalay ( By flight )
Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to airport leave
for Mandalay by flight. Arrive at Mandalay airport and
transfer to hotel. Then sightseeing includes Mahamuni
Image – a bronze Buddha image castled during the
lifetime of Buddha himself, Tapestry works, Wood carving
& bronze castling workshops, Marble carving workshop and
silk weaving home cottage. Continues to Mandalay Palace,
Shwenandaw Monstery – noted for its exquisite wood
carvings, gold leaf beating workshop, Atumashi Monstery,
Kuthodaw Pagoda – known as the world biggest book and
finish the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the
sun-set and the panoramic view of the city. Overnight at
Hotel in Mandalay.
Day14:
Mandalay – Amarapura – Innwa - Mandalay
Breakfast at hotel. Morning sightseeing to Amarapura,
11km south of Mandalay. This trip will take you to
Mahagandayon Monastery where more than a thousand monks
live and study, to see their last meal of the day in
total silence. Proceed to U Pein Wooden Bridge built in
1782. And observe Myanma traditional hand-woven silk
workshop. Continue to Innwa, tour highlights include the
27-metre-high Masonry Watch Tower, the Nanmyint (or) the
"Leaning Tower of Innwa"; Maha Aungmye Bonzan Ok Kyaung,
a brick and stucco Monastery; Innwa Bagaya Monastery
built with 276 teak pillars and observe Myanma
traditional Alms bowls workshop. Then back to hotel.
Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
Day15:
Mandalay – Mingun – Sagaing – Mandalay
Breakfast at Hotel. Morning visit Mingun Bell, Settawya
Pagoda and Hsinbyume Pagoda by boat across the
Ayeyarwaddy River and romantic country side. After
lunch, visit U Min Thonezai Pagoda, then visit
picturesque Sagaing Hill which is perhaps the living
centre of Buddhist faith in Myanmar today. Hillsides are
dotted with numerous pagodas and monasteries. Continue
to visit Kaungmudaw Pagoda, with its huge egg - shaped
dome in Ceylonese style. Drive back to Mandalay.
Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
Day16:
Mandalay – Bagan ( By Express Public Boat )
Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to Jetty leave for
Bagan by Shwe-Keinnery Fleet. On the way to Bagan, you
can view the way of life of Myanmar over the boat.
Arrive at Bagan and transfer to hotel. Overnight at
hotel in Bagan.
Day17:
Bagan
Breakfast at Hotel. Morning transfer to airport leave
for Bagan by flight. Arrive at Nyaung Oo airport and and
proceed to hotel. Then sightseeing includes: Nyaung Oo
Market, Shwezigon Pagoda – the prototype for later
Myanmar pagodas built by King Anawrahta, Ananda Temple –
King Kyansittha’s masterpiece and the crowing
achievement of the early style temple of architecture.
Htilominlo Temple – the largest temples. Afternoon visit
to Lacquer-ware making home cottage, Manuha Temple,
Myinkaba Gubyaukgyi Temple – known for its wall
paintings depicting scenes from the Jataka and
Dhamanyangyi Temple. Evening sun-set view of Bagan from
Buphaya or Shwesandaw Pagoda. Overnight at Hotel in
Bagan.
Day18:
Bagan – Mt – Popa - Salay – Bagan
Breakfast at Hotel. Drive to Mt. Popa. Visit Popa
Taungkalatt and environ. After lunch, proceed to Salay.
Visit Yoe Soe Kyaung, 120 years old wooden monastery,
Man Phaya – the largest lacpuer Buddhist Image. Drive
back to Bagan. Overnight at Hotel in Bagan.
Day19:
Bagan – Sittwe ( By Flight )
Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to airport leave
for Sittwe by flight. Arrive at sittwe airport and
transfer to hotel. Then sightseeing around Sittwe and
back to hotel. Overnight at hotel in Sittwe.
Day20:
Sittwe – Mrauk U ( By Private Boat )
Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to jetty leave for
Mrauk U (ancient city) by private boat. Arrive at Mrauk
U and transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit to Wethali (Vesali),
founded in the 4th century. Sightseeing includes the
Ruined city walls. Defensive moat. Central Palace and
the great Image of Su Taun Pyae, a 5 metre seated Buddha
which is said to have been carved out of one piece of
rock. Then back to hotel and overnight at hotel in Mrauk
U.
Day 21:
Mrauk U
Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit to Kyauktaw and visit
mahanuni Buddha image, according to legend the original
site of Mandalay’s famous bronze Buddha image. Afternoon
visit Museum which houses ancient stone slabs with
inscriptions and an interesting collection of Rakhine-style
Buddha images. Continue to visit most famous Shittaung
Pagoda, shrine of 80,000 holy Buddha images. Then Andaw
Pagoda, an eight sided monument. Dukkanthein “ordination
hall”, a construction of laterite and sandstone bricks.
Then enjoy sunset at Shwetaung from where there is a
good view over Mtauk-U. Overnight at hotel in Mrauk U.
Day 22:
Mrauk U - Sittwe ( By Private Boat )
Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to jetty leave back
for Sittwe by private boat. Arrive at Sittwe in late
afternoon and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel in
Sittwe.
Day 23:
Sittwe – Thandwe – Ngapali Beach ( By Flight
)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to airport leave
for Thandwe (Ngapali Beach). Arrive at Thandwe airport
and transfer to hotel. Leisure and overnight at hotel in
Ngapali Beach.
Day 24:
Ngapali Beach
Breakfast at hotel. Day at leisure in Ngapali Beach.

for Yangon by flight. Arrive back for Yangon and

(World Peace) pagoda, Maha Pasana Cave, Buddha’s Tooth
Relic Pagoda and Jade Factory, Sule Pagoda, the heart of

Day 28:
Departure
Breakfast at hotel. If time allow, free time for
shopping at Bogyoke Market (formerly Scott’s Market).
Then transfer to Airport for departure.
